1. Data controller

The data controller is Joffrey Bonifay, a sole proprietorship (France). For any question about your data or to exercise your rights: hello@citeable.eu. Address: to be completed upon registration.

2. Data we process

  • The site URL you submit, and the public content of that site fetched by our crawler (pages, titles, text) to generate the files.
  • Your email address and payment data, collected and processed by our provider Stripe (we do not store your card number).
  • Minimal technical data (server logs) necessary for the operation and security of the service.

3. Purposes and legal basis

This data is processed to perform the service you ordered (generating and delivering the files) and to handle payment — legal basis: performance of the contract. Technical data relies on our legitimate interest in securing the service.

4. Processors and recipients

To provide the service, we use the following providers:

  • Stripe — payment processing and retention of order history.
  • Vercel — application hosting.
  • Anthropic (Claude API) — the public content fetched from your site is sent to this AI service to generate the files. It is not used to train models under API usage.

Some of these providers are located outside the European Union; transfers are governed by appropriate safeguards (standard contractual clauses).

5. Retention period

Order history is kept at Stripe for as long as necessary to manage the customer relationship and meet accounting/legal obligations. Your site content is only processed for the time needed to generate the files and is not durably stored in a database by Citeable.

6. Your rights

In accordance with the GDPR, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, object to and port your data. To exercise them, write to hello@citeable.eu. You may also lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority (CNIL).

7. Cookies

Citeable places no cookies on your browser: no advertising cookies, no trackers, no analytics. Payment takes place on Stripe's secure page, which applies its own cookie policy.
