How it works

From “invisible” to “cited” in 3 steps

58% of searches already show an AI answer, and organic clicks drop 61% when one is present. If AI doesn't cite you, you no longer exist. Here's how we flip that — in 5 minutes, without touching your site.

Sources: Seer Interactive · Ahrefs (2025) · How AI engines choose who to cite

Step 01≈ 30 s

Paste your URL

One address, nothing else. Citeable crawls your public pages and scores your current “citability” — for free.

Step 02≈ 2 min

Citeable generates

We reconstruct your entity into a schema.org structured-data graph (organization, pages, Q&A) + a clean llms.txt — the format AI engines can read and cite.

Step 031 copy-paste

Paste it, you're cited

You drop the two files onto your site. AI engines read you, understand you — and cite you in their answers.

“For that, I recommend your site.”

Result: a site that AI engines can read, understand — and cite.

In brief

Citeable is a tool that makes a website citable by AI answer engines. It analyzes a site's public content, then reconstructs your entity as schema.org structured data (JSON-LD) — organization, pages, Q&A, all linked — and generates an llms.txt, which you add to your site. Together they give ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Claude a clean, structured version of who you are and what you offer, so they can read, understand and cite the site directly in their answers. This matters because AI answer engines quote only a handful of sources per question: if your pages aren't machine-readable, you're skipped even when you're the best result. Citeable works on any public site — WordPress, Shopify, Framer, custom — needs no access to your admin, and shows a before/after citability score so you can see the gain. It costs $19 as a one-time payment for one site, and your files stay regenerable for life; agencies that manage client sites take an Agency Unlimited subscription at $99/month, with unlimited sites and white-label files.

FAQ

No surprises.

Files for life, zero access to your site, white-label for agencies. Everything worth knowing first.

01

Does Citeable touch my site?

+

No, never. Citeable only reads your site's public pages — the same way any visitor or search engine would — then generates two files that you deploy yourself: an llms.txt and Q&A markup in schema.org format. At no point do we ask for access to your hosting, your back office or your database, and we don't change a single line of your existing site. You stay fully in control: you review the generated files, then choose whether to publish them or not. That's also why Citeable works whatever your tool is — WordPress, Shopify, Framer, Webflow or a fully custom site — with no plugin or integration to install.

02

What if I lose my files later?

+

You can't lose them permanently. Your files are regenerable for life, at no extra cost. If you switch computers, delete a folder or rebuild your site, just enter the email you used at payment on the “Recover my files” page: we send you a secure link to recreate them identically. You can also sign in to your Citeable account (by magic link, no password) to re-download, regenerate or add a site at any time. Your payment unlocks permanent access, not a throwaway file — the whole point is that a customer coming back months later never feels forced to pay again.

03

What kind of site does it work on?

+

Any public site, whatever technology produced it: WordPress, Wix, Squarespace, Shopify, Framer, Webflow or a hand-coded site. There's nothing to install on the site side — no plugin, no extension, no admin access. You simply deploy the two generated files: the llms.txt at the root of your domain, and the Q&A markup in the <head> of your homepage. If you can add a file to your site and paste a snippet into the header (which every modern host allows), you can use Citeable. The only cases it can't cover are pages behind a login or paywall, which AI engines can't read anyway.

04

I've read that llms.txt is useless — why Citeable?

+

Because Citeable doesn't bet on llms.txt alone. The criticism is partly fair: an llms.txt sitting on its own is ignored by most AI crawlers today, and Google confirmed in early 2026 that it isn't required for its AI answers. What actually makes a site citable is something else — and it's the core of Citeable: structured data (Q&A markup in schema.org format), precisely the signal Google recommends, that ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini can read and quote word-for-word in their responses. We also generate a clean llms.txt, because Perplexity and coding assistants (agents, IDEs) do use it, and it costs nothing to add. In other words: you're not betting on a trendy file, you're improving your site's overall machine-readability — structured data first, llms.txt as a bonus — with a before/after score to measure the gain, for a single payment.

05

One-time or subscription — which one do I take?

+

It comes down to one thing: who owns the sites. If they're yours, take Solo ($19, 1 site): a single payment, no recurring charge, no trial that turns into a subscription, no automatic renewal. You regenerate and re-download your files as often as you like, for life, never paying again — making a site citable is a one-off action, not a service to rent by the month. If you manage your clients' sites it's the opposite: your portfolio changes every month, so Agency Unlimited is a $99/month subscription with unlimited client sites, white-label files and priority support. No commitment, cancel in one click from your account.

06

What does white-label mean here?

+

It means the generated files carry no reference to Citeable: no branding, no signature, no backlink, nothing in the llms.txt header and nothing in the JSON-LD. What lands on your client's site is a clean llms.txt and clean schema.org markup that reads as your agency's work — because it is: you pick the site, you review the output, you deploy it. You can also present the before/after citability score under your own brand in your client report. Citeable stays your supplier, invisible to your client, the same way your host or your rank tracker is.

07

Can I upgrade from the one-time plan?

+

Yes, and what you already paid isn't lost: your one-time payment ($19) is deducted from your first month on an agency plan. The sites you've already generated stay yours and move into your agency account, files intact. In practice: email me from the address you paid with and I apply the credit before the first invoice. Starting small isn't penalized — the one-time plan exists precisely so you can test Citeable on a first client before standardizing on it.

08

How does per-site counting work?

+

On Agency Unlimited they aren't counted: no cap, no credits to top up, no tier to watch. A new client signs, you run them through Citeable the same day. The detail that matters: one site = one root domain, so yourclient.com, www.yourclient.com and yourclient.com/pricing are the same single site, and regenerations on it are unlimited — re-run it after every redesign or content update at no extra cost. On Solo the site count is genuinely limited to one, and each different domain consumes a credit.

Who's behind Citeable

I built Citeable after watching sites pay a freelancer $95-100 for GEO done by hand. I wanted a tool that does it in 5 minutes, cleanly, and proves the result.
